I am an ecologist studying how populations and communities respond to environmental variability and disturbance. I combine mathematical and computational models with field data to examine demography, ecological stability and transient dynamics, with applications to socio-ecological systems.
At Princeton, I work with Simon Levin and Jonathan Levine. I completed my PhD in Biology at Stanford University with Shripad Tuljapurkar, for which I was awarded the Samuel Karlin Prize in Mathematical Biology.
